On the final trek of its travels, the jubilee icon of "The Protection of the Mother of God" arrived in San Francisco at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception in time for the scheduled celebration on Sunday, April 10th. Several parishioners attended the liturgy at 11:30 a.m., served by Fr. Petro Dyachok, administrator of  the parish. After the liturgy Fr. Petro served the Akathist dedicated to the Protection of the Mother of God.

The Jubilee Icon was artistically displayed on the tetrapod. It was framed with an arch of beautiful flowers. This was Fr. Petro's creative idea completed by several of the parishioners.
On April 17th, Palm Sunday, the icon traveled to Santa Clara to St.Volodymyr Parish for the 8:15 a.m. Liturgy and then back to San Francisco for the 11:30 a.m. Liturgy, both served by Fr. Dyachok.

Two parishioners from Reno, Nevada, Dr. and Mrs. Ihor Voyevidka, attended this Liturgy and offered to transport the icon to Seattle, Washington, the last stop on its scheduled West Coast journey.
